This is about a bullying incident. Student A is the child of the parent doing the questioning and Student B is another child in the same class. Can the parent of Student A question Student B about a bullying incident, while on school grounds, without first getting consent from the parent of Student B? Both Student A and Student B were victims in the same bullying incident. Is this a violation of FERPA or another law if a parent asks another parent’s child questions about a school incident that happened to him/her?

Duplicate post, and again, FERPA is not an issue here and nothing illegal happened.

new here, sorry

I am new here and I was wondering if you could tell me which place would be the most appropriate for my post about child questioning at school. Thanks! Also, the school told me this was a violation, so they are wrong?
Thank you.

Posting it here is fine. But the answer isn't going to change no matter how many times you ask or where you post it. Nothing illegal happened.

Drop it and move on with your life.
