What is the name of your state? Ohio

My wife and I were married in 2004 and she has a 15 year old daughter. My wife is from Ohio and I am from North Carolina. We were married, we decided to let my step-daughter to stay in Ohio because of school. Here is our problem: My step-daughter was living in Ohio with her grandmother. We gave her grandmother power of attorney so she could handle anything related to school, medical, etc. There were some fees owed to the high school that our daughter attended so I sent the grandmother the money to pay them. She didn't. Our daughter moved here to North Carolina this summer. When we went to regester her for school we found out we couldn't because the high school in Ohio will not release her records. Basically, our daughter icannot go to school because of what her grandmother did(or didn't do as the case may be). We need to know what we can do about this. Thanks.

When you say, "Do," do you mean the school or the grandmother? And, what was the amount owed to the school?

Pay the money that is owed to the Ohio school directly to them. They will then send out the transcripts.
