What is the name of your state? CA

My 20 y.o. has violated RO issued 1yr ago. He is emailing his ex-coworker - love letters, nothing violent, but obviously obssesive. He has Bipolar Disorder which is acting out since stopped his meds 3 months ago.
Police is looking for him.

Will he be put to jail? How long? What about his illness - will it be a factor in judge decison? (he is not a violent kid, geeky type, jail will break him down)
Can his green card be revoked? Can he be deported?

Please answer - any advice will help!

Heartbroken Mom.

um

Okay I posted a response, deleted it till I could read all of your threads, but now I am going to go back to my original gut feeling.

Go to the corner laundromat and do your dirty laundry there. You and your family are a Jerry Springer show ready to happen... and I do not do Jerry.

Enasni - you are right! Jerry Springer indeed. Ouch!

Would be funny if it wouldn't be so tragic right now.
Just wanted to get respected lawers' respectful opinion, not harassments. Oh well....

Re. my old postings about child support and custody - I was helping out my poor mexican nanny who couldn't even read/understand Legal English. There are so many people like her taken advantage of by exes and others. This forum helped her a lot.

Have a great day, Enasni.

There are many many people in jails with mental illness. Hopefully the judge will see your son has problems and will want a report from a doctor.Maybe your son will be one of the lucky ones and not go to jail. Get a good lawyer for your son.

His "illness" will not likely protect him from punishment. And what the punishment will be depends on a variety of factors ... is it a domestic violence restraining order? A civil restraining order? Does he have priors? Ad nauseum
