What is the name of your state? Calif.
Consider all the forwards you might received from friends in your email box. It can be a lot!
What we would like to do is take a funny picture that has already been forwarded a couple years ago and transform it into an "e-flyer" for our newfound website.
In other words, we want to use a "forward-friendly" picture, stamp our website name (www.peoplefishing.com) on it and send it along to friends with a brief blurb. We hope this will serve a viral purpose in getting internet surfers to recognize and check out PeopleFishing.com, as people forward the funny e-flyer.
Hypothetically, if someone was to pursue us for using "their" picture, could they impose great damage on us? Is it standard procedure to receive a "cease & desist" warning first, before getting hammered?
What do you think the consequences might be??
Thanking you in advance for your thoughts!!!
