What can I do for myself if my husband is unwilling to sign a seperation agreement. I want it for my own peace of mind so that when we go to file for the divorce, he doesn't back out and try to make this a long drawn out thing.

Separate for the appropriate time then get a divorce.

If you live apart for a year, you need no separation agreement for a no-fault divorce. If he's going to oppose the divorce, it doesn't much matter how long you are separated. Are there children involved?
