What is the name of your state? Oklahoma I need some advice from someone who has petitioned for a visa. I am not sure what to do..My finance lives in Algeria and I live in Tulsa Ok, We have been engaged for 1 year I planned to go to ALgeria but due to circumstances I am not able to go now. It is very hard to be away from each other we truly love one another and would like to know the quickest and easiest way to bring him here from Algeria. Anyone who has experience with this type of situation please offer your advice. As you know it is hard to love someone who is so far away so any advice will be very helpful.

You would need to apply for a fiance visa on his behalf through the USCIS and once it is approved, he would consular process for the fiance (K-1) visa at the US Consulate in Algiers. In order for this to happen, you have to demonstrate that you have met in person within 2 years of the filing of the petition. The Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) grants some exceptions to this requirement. For example, it may be contrary in some traditions for a man and woman to meet before marriage.
