What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland

A senior citizen recently had an eye exam by an eye doctor. However, wasn't aware and forgot to ask the eye doc to fill out and sign the Vision Certification she needs for driver's license renewal in Maryland. Now, the eye doctor wants to charge to fill out/sign the Certification.

Can the senior citizen simply get her vision tested at Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration branch when she goes there to renew? (Does MVA now have a fee vision test?) She is eligible to renew via mail, but if she has to make another trip to eye doctor and pay to get V.C. filled out/signed, she might as well go to Maryland MVA in person to renew. Thanks.

Perhaps the Senior Citizen should call the MVA to ask.
