What is the name of your state?OH
I have had a lot of problems with my ex & his family, new gf, etc. Back in Nov. of last year he took me to court for visitation and was granted supervised weekly visits to take place at a visitation house. I went and registered the day of court, and he has yet to comply with it, or make attempts to see our child. There have been ongoing trials against me w/everyone surrounding him. With all of the protection orders I was given, my ex isn't on them. I didn't want that to be his excuse for not being a father. Its been almost 7 months now w/out any contact, child support or visitation.
Recently he and his sister have IMed me with apologies and wanting to come to an understanding so we can be civil. Well, seeing how I was the one being hurt and harrassed, I am leary on meeting with them. There is one pending trial concerning an assault I fell victim to. I told them I wanted to wait until I speak with the prosecutor before I made any decisions. I don't want a meeting to be a weapon if they have hidden agenda. It may ruin the assault trial as well as our visitation order. Wouldn't it?! Wondering if I am just falling for another attack.

You are asking a personal question that has nothing to do with the standing visitation order. If you have a visitation order and have not been making the child available, you and you alone can be held in contempt.

If you are wondering if your ex can be held in contempt for not exercising his visitation, the answer is no. Visitation is a right, NOT an obligation, on the ex. Only on you, the custodial parent.

using better words

Sorry if it didn't make sense, what I am saying is if I set up a supervised visitation outside of the established visitation center, will it change the original court order for supervised visits? I would be one of the supervising parties.

You have no legal right to change a standing court order. And if you attempt to do so without the court's permission, again you can be found in contempt.

You follow the court order as it stands. Period!
