I live in Nevada and my ex-husband lives in California 4 hours away. My ex-husband has custody of our 3 year old son. When we divorced I did not fight for custody because he convinced me that since he made more money and I was pennyless he would could raise our child better and that the courts would think so also. Not having any money for lawyers I agreed. We agreed that I would see him on the 3rd weekend of each month and for 6 weeks in the summer time. We drive to a set place (two hours from both our homes) to meet. All this was in the divorce papers. Now he says that he is to busy to drive to our mutual meeting spot to drop my son off for his visit and that if I want to see him I have to go all the way to his home. Do I have any legal rights or does my ex set these rules on where I can see my son. I am more stable now and have a better job. Would I have any chances on getting my son back or even joint custody since I gave up custody in the beginning? Please help me.
