I have not seen my daughter in almost a year because of vehicle and financial troubles . now my ex wife is telling me i cant take my daughter for a visit until all of my child support is payed up. Can she do this and if not how do i stop her ?

John,
your ex wife cannot deny you visitation with your child because you owe her childsupport. I was just reading on some web pages that it is not legal. I really cant offer you any answers except read up on the custody and child support laws, and talk to a lawyer.

Iwould like to ask a basic question are you behind and made no attempts for support at all since you are behind or are you flat out deliquent???? No you cannot be denied visitation if you have a set schedule for the time. But back to my question has this ever occured to the delinquent NCP that the children still need food, housing etc. the basics to live and if you are not giving your support on time that no matter what, your life still goes on in the style that you are accustomed to but the CP still has to make sure the necessities are there and there bills are paid not only for them to live there but also for the children to be taken care of.....
