I have a 1 year service agreement with VSW that is to expire in June 2001. For more than 9 months now I have called and complained about poor service, dropped calls, and outages. I have also called about numerous billing mistakes. VSW has refused to fix any problems with its network. They have fixed some billing mistakes but more show up each cycle. I called to cancel my account based on this stating they breached the agreement by not providing the service I was paying for. They refused to terminate my account without a $200 early termination fee for both my phones (regardless of the fact they are on the same account). I have tried to contact the VP of Customer Care but he has refused to return my calls. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. At this point it is cheaper for me to remain on service until the end of the contract than to terminate now. I am seeking advice on how to go about getting the termination I requested last month without fees and refunding this month's service fees. Is this something I can take to a lawyer to get resolved. Would the lawyer fees exceed what I would get from VSW in a settlement or can I get them for legal fees as well?
