texas.my husband was laid off approx 2-3 years ago and we fell behind on our bills. we had our wave runners voluntarily repossessed. the company took over 5 months to do so then said we still owed them over $6000.00. now they have sold the debt to a collection agency in maryland and they are getting a judgment against me. what can i do? we run from paycheck to paycheck even tho we do have credit cards and i have great credit but my husband doesnt.

I think it's time to clean some stuff up. You don't want to go through life with garnishments and judgements and liens filed against your property. No way can you plan for any sort of future. I assume you have many other unpaid bills. I would see a lawyer about a possible chapter 13 filing. It'll do one thing immediately. It will halt collection activity and give you and your husband breathing room to figure a way out of this mess. {with an assist from your lawyer}
Stop using your credit cards. If you have a judgement pending you don't have great credit. Good luck!
