pennsylvania. at a vop hearing a friend of mine was sentenced to 5 years probation, not less than 1 month nor more than 23 months imprisonment phila county prison, and enter a inpatient day drug program w/in 30 days to run consecutive. this vop hearing occurred on 9/7/94. with the sentence that was handed down by the judge above, what day and year would he technically be finished his probation. also, he was given credit for time served from 8-17-94 through 9-17-94, and parole was effective on 9/17/94. thus, he was not released from prison that day and not released until approximately 30 days later. his probation officer his probation would be up 5/27/01. which i dont think sounds right. with that he was found guilty on 8/7/01 on a vop for a dui that occured jan 2001, the judge sentenced him to 2 to 5 years in a state correctional facility. does this sound right? any advice would be much appreciated. i have a copy of his file, which includes the dockets from his sentences and other court papers.
