What is the name of your state?arialstate is california
about ten to tweleve years ago I got two $10 fix-it tickets for registration. I got the reg. taken care of and mailed in my fine. approximently four years later i was stopped and had my truck impounded because I was driving on a suspended lic. for not paying for the fix-it tickets. apparently it showed that one ticket was paid but the other was not. i went through hell getting the cancelled check from tha bank, went to court and got my license back. I don't remember getting anything from the court and they kept all of my paper work including the cancelled check. now they are garnishing my wages for $775.oo for these two tickets. i was never notified or given any options. my truck is still registered and I do have a valid ca. drivers lic. it seems to me that i would have had to pay for any outstanding tickets on my truck before being able to register it again, or before renewing my drivers lic. so why after this long is this happening again and what can I do about it.
