wage garnishment

i received a phone call today from a collection agency who just aquired my 1985 defaulted student loan ,was 5000 now over 11000 he's sending me some paperwork to sign to start making payments.the loan was made in arizona i now live in florida he threatened to garnish my wages if i dont agree to making payments my question is can they garnish my wages please email me a reply at [email protected]
