This is my first time asking a question, I became a member today. I live in the state of Nevada and I was wondering who can garnish wages. For example: a car dealership. Thank you, grapeape

Only four parties are allowed to garnish wages (and these generally apply to any state that allows wage garnishment, not just Nevada).

They are:
1) Those that you gave prior permission to garnish in any agreement, AND
2) Past due Child Support, AND
3) Unpaid taxes, AND
4) Creditors holding a valid court judgment against you.

Any claims of garnishment by debt collectors without a judgment is just plain BS.
