What is the name of your state? Oregon. I recently worked for an internet based company that specialized in home-based employment for individuals with disabilities. Vocational rehabilitation told me about the job. The job started out at $7.00 hr for training of which our minimum wage in Oregon at that time was $7.05 hr. The training was for 30 hours, then the hourly wage went up to $10.97 per hour to include a $2.59 hr health and welfare benefit which was paid into an account and for every $300.00 that was placed into the acct then we were supposed to be able to use this benefit to pay for medical fees, medications, etc... I never saw a dime of this nor did I receive a card for this service. I received a call from voc rehab in December asking me why I did not tell them that this company wanted $4700.00 for my training and to pay for the health and welfare benefit. I was not told any of this up front nor during the new employee orientation or during the training and it is not in the company policies or on there website. This company requested this money again and again voc rehab told them NO! I was told to continue working for this company to see what would happen, which I did. I was blocked out of their software program and was told by their tech support to turn off my firewall which in turn within a half hour of working for them I received 4 viruses. I was then terminated last week for adherence issue's, which to me means that they did not get the money that they wanted so they fired me. Is there any legal action that I can take against this company?
