Have been waiting 6 months for a Qrdro to be reviewed and still no action from my ex's 401K investment company. The Qrdro was sent for review and still has not been returned to my lawyer. How long approximately can this take?

Sent for review to whom?

Why do they need to review it? If the QDRO is written correctly, the company should be executing it...have your attorney check on the current status.

My attorney is telling me that once it has been sent to them, she has no control on how long they hold onto it. Should she be calling them or contacting them by mail?

Whichever she prefers -- but she OUGHT to be lighting a fire under somebody's behind.

Frankly, I'd expect MY attorney to be fighting on MY behalf. That does not involve sitting around, waiting...not in my book. :(
