Hello,
A friend of mine got a DWI in CA and had his license suspended (revoked?) for 1 year.
Somebody had once mentioned that you can get 'around' this if you are moving to another state.. From memory, it went something like this - you Sign a CA waiver form agreeing not to make CA your primary residency for 3 years, then you get a form from CA which entitles you to take the roadtest again in another state. I did some searching, but couldn't find detailed instructions.. Does anyone know about this?

Thanks,
Andrew

The only way your friend is going to get "around" this year, either in California or any other state, is on foot or by public transportation.

Theer are all sorts of schemes out there, but this is one I have not heard of. I doubt that CA has codified a way to get out of a license restriction.
