Wal-mart photo center threw away my memory cards that I had dropped off for 1 hour processing to be developed. Now I have lost over 200 pictures of my grandfather in the hospital and at his funeral. Is there anything legally I can do? They are asking how they can compensate me but how do you put a price on what was lost.

Make it a big price...all that you agreed to was the price of a new roll of film (look on the agreement) but if you can get more, then go for it!

With Walmart, she/he probably can ;)

Realistically, they can offer the OP reimbursement for the cost of the lost memory cards and they'll likely give her/him vouchers for a number of free future developements of future pictures. But, if I were the OP, I wouldn't go back to that particular store.

In the most unfortunate way, the OP has learned that a cheaper cost isn't always the best deal. Next time, the OP should go to a private shop when she/he has personally valuable pictures to develope.
