Thank you for the reply. But when I moved in there was no formal walk in. No sheet was given to me as to check off what may have been wrong i.e. scratched, cracked, discolored. Every other place I have rented from there was a formal sheet that I had to fill out as to the condition of the place when I moved in, then when I moved out I had to fill out a final walk thru report. This was never done at this place. So how can they charge me for things that were never written down in the first place. Plus the landlord never called or made plans to do a final walk thru with me. He wrote as a response that I chose to just not be there. I thought this was wrong on his part to not do any kind of walk thru, especally since every landlord I have known has made it a big deal to do a walk thru at the beginning and at the end.

YOU as tenant has responibilities TOO......

And this is one of them to cover your asssssssssssssss and you didnt!

For a lousy $40 or less this all could have been avoided, YOU should have gone to WAL MART you know them big chain of stores all over america... and buy 2 or 3 disposable cameras, and make an extra set or two and had them time/date stamped then you could have walked into court and if the judge concluded there was no damage you would owe ZERO!

Pay them the money, and next time you will know how to protect yourself.
