Just after Christmas this year, my son took his 93 Camaro to the Walmart Super Center for a routine oil change. They stripped his oil plug and put in a tempory one. I had no idea this was done until it began leaking oil and he told me the story. I took the car back to Walmart yesterday and was told by the asst. manager that I should go to a repair shop of my choice and get an estimate. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer and they told me they really messed the car up and it needed an oil pan and plug ($494.00). This morning Walmart called and told me that the manager said because we waited so long to come back that he didn't feel responsible. He even had the nerve to tell me that the car was nearly 10 years old and I could expect oil leaks. can you believe that? I have the recipt that states the oil change was free and that they put in the "temporary " plug. I feel that a temp. plug is just that and that they are fully responsible for making this right. Before I consider small claims, I wanted your opinions on this. Oh, one more thing....the local Chevy dealer told me that they get a lot of Walmart mess ups........one yesterday was for $990 because a car in for a routation actually fell off the lift. Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance Mad in Maryland

contact your Chevy dealer again and ask if he would be willing to testify in court as to the damage to your sons car also ask him if he can get ahold of some of the people who had problems with this walmart, then call the mananger of walmart again, tell him you have people willing to testify as to his companies poor work and if he wants to reconsider paying for yours son car damage then you won't sue.
You need to consider talking to a lawyer if you have people with damage to cars willing to testify against this walmart. That way you can all file your claims together and the walmart can be held liable for all counts.
