I own a large parcel in a developement set back from a road. Between the road and my parcel is a small parcel (50 ft. by 100 ft.)that is no longer able to be built on due to the lack of space for a septic system and leech field. The property owners of this small parcel have never seen it and live elsewhere. It has sat neglected for 38 years. Since this could be road frontage property, I would like to purchase this property but they are asking a rediculous price by phone. Since the property is an eyesore (the local dumping ground for branches, beer cans, etc.) and has fallen trees that when on my property have been removed by me, I was wondering if I have any claim to the property. Is there a way to devalue the property like a condemnation so that I may get the parcel for cheap? These people have never seen it and are basing their price on an assessment from many years ago that lists it as a building lot. thank youfor your help.
