want paid in full receipt

I just recently paid off a debt to a collection agency. I requested a receipt stating that the debt has been paid in full. I have not heard from them. Are they entitled to giving me a reciept if I ask for it? If so, what can I do?

I paid the debt in full based on a printed statement with money orders.
