What is the name of your state? California
We have a trust with 4 co trustees who are also beneficiaries. Fight is 2 against 2. What are the pitfalls of going it alone as a co trustee now since my attorney does not do arbitration and litigation of trusts? I can write a good letter and I want to negotiate with the other side's attorney to end this/settle so that all the pain can just go away. The other side has stolen assets and been really awful and as much as I want justice, for my best interests to be served arbitration and litigation would only prolong the agony. No attorney in their right mind would take this family mess on anyway. I suspect the other side does not want to settle because one of them will owe Social Security (SSI) much of her proceeds.
