this is my story. my boyfriend has been seperated for a little more than 2 yrs. and we have been together for 1 yr. he has lived with me for 6mos.we even would like to get married one day!! BUT he is just now moving on with the divorce. they have two young children .(i have met them and everything) i just need to know what i am going to do to his divorce.Make it harder or not? His soon-to-be ex knows about me and she is dating too. Will that make a difference?

You don't tell us your state, so I don't know. If she is dating too, then they may cancel each other out. Depends on each attorney's decision to play it up,down, dismiss it, etc.

I started dating 2 years after my wife filed for divorce.August 17, 1998 She admitted she had affairs but claimed to stop dating once we separated. My girlfriend moved in with me 7 months ago, when we went to court she made a BIG deal about her. The judge told us that according to Texas law we could be common law married and threatened to charge me with poligamy. My Judge was very old fashioned and let us know it. Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear.
