What is the name of your state? California
My husband took out a loan and never paid it, I found out when a judgement was filed against him. Is it too late to make payments as we don't have the full amount. How do we begin to correct this? Who do we contact? Their attorney's office or the original loan company? So far our bank account has not been levied and wages not garnished, I want to avoid this if at all possible.

You're going to have to call the lawyer who sued him and make arrangements to pay the judgment off. The judgment amount is going to include court costs and attorney's fees, so don't think it's just the amount of the debt he owes.

If you act quickly, then you may avoid having your bank account emptied or his wages garnished. Just make sure that you get any agreement IN WRITING and that you get a letter of satisfaction when the judmgent is finally paid.
