What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
My mom is a Canadian citizen and living alone and was diagnosed with breast cancer in october, she has finished her first round of chemo after her mastectomy and halfway through her radiation. She is then scheduled to start hormone therapy (daily pills for 5 years). Since I dont live near her, I have been skyping all her appointments that involve discussion with the doctors and doing as much remotely as I can. I live in California and a US citizen so I wanted to sponsor her to come live with me after her radiation ends, in case anything else comes up with her health I can be there with her through every step. I am planning on submitting I-130 and I-485 and, once approved, paying for her health insurance through Covered California. I am wondering if there is anything else I should be doing to make sure she gets the same treatment here as she does in canada, to continue her hormone therapy (pills) and also in case she has a reocurrence. Thank you.
