My lease expires January 31, 2002 but I want to move to anther city April 31, 2001. It does state in my lease that the lease may be terminated by the tenant with 28 days notice, prior to the expiration of its term for "good cause" such as moving to another location for new employment. Would it be legal to find a new job in another city then give the 28 day notice when the time came without being liable for extra fees/rent for the rest of the lease?
