I recently purchased a used truck in the state of California. We were offered to purchase a 3-yr $1,200.00 warranty when we purchased the truck. We declined. As it turned out, since the truck had less than 80,000 miles on it, the dealer's policy is you can purchase any length of warranty (ie. 30-day, 60-day, 1-yr, etc). Had we known this at the time we would have purchased a 90-day. The front end of the transmission had to replaced on day 28 of owning the truck. I feel cheated by the dealership because they only offered the most expensive warranty and did not disclose the availability of shorter, less expensive warranties at the time of purchase. We are in discussions with the dealership, but they are avoiding our calls. Any suggestions?
