Well we finally did it and a big Kudo to
all of you. We turned "everything" over
to an Attorney today. He said I did wonder-ful, I had everything including school records. It did hurt to leave it all, considering it was my daughter's life in a brief case. But I now can be at ease knowing I don't have to "mess it up anymore". He can't figure out why I waited so long to see anyone, except for the fact I am like most people who assume if we do it ourselves we don't have Attorney fee's ect, ect. And they will be fair with us. Afterall how could they not when they realize their client is at fault. Not! It does get real nasty at the end. The other insurance is wonderful all the way through until........So I just wanted to Thank all of you, for having your site here for me to read and learn. The Attorney was very surprised that I had everything from work, school and a I hate life or hurt diary. It was because of all of you that I kept going when I was ready to give up just because it seemed like it was a waste of time. Thank You so much for, if nothing else, just being there for other people's stories. They help so much. And esp IAAL for the wonderful stories that kept the "perk" back in life about "prom night". Can't forget the story and have told everyone that would listen. So for now all I have to do is wait and see what is needed of us next, but at least we are not the ones the have to pursure it anymore. And our timeframe won't run out because we got tired of the BS....Thank you again so much! This may not be a big case but now it's the principle and we only want what is due our daughter, nothing more, nothing less. Even if all she get's is her wages that are hard to prove being that she was a teenager with a school schedule. She is a wonderful kid who works hard and pays her own way, she doesn't deserve to be "set-back" 'cuz someone who had a drink or two and arguing with his wife hit's her from the back. We realize this is all but over but for her she will never forget the summer she missed. But because of your site it seems she will get something for her accident, and if it was up to me I would have eventually given up and she would have got nothing. She is such a good kid that with 2 1/2 jobs she has gotten herself a new car that she has wanted for years without any settlement money. And knows she must work for it, anything extra would be a dream to her!
Again Thank you, because of you I quit fighting and talking with the Insurance Co.
and it feels WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
Advice for other's:
Don't do it on your own. Everything seem's to go just "hunky-dorey" until the very end and then..........................................................?????????????????

My response:

This is wonderful news, Jontue. I'm glad you're back "in the swing" of things. I haven't heard from you in a long time and I had wondered about you and how you were doing. I hope your daughter is feeling better. I can see that you are doing much better . . . because a great weight has now been lifted from your shoulders concerning your daughter's matter. I'm sure your daughter's case is now in good hands. Yes, of course, your daughter will be paying the attorney a fee for his services, but that compared to the aggravation and the wondering is well worth it in the long run.

Please keep me posted.

All my best to you and your daughter,

IAAL
