Do I have legal ability to demand any mention of my company name removed from a particular forum? I have had one or two people slander my company and to me it is defamation/libel involved. The whole misuse of "first ammendment" is ridiculous but understandably difficult to deal with.

What power do I have over this?

There are thousands of posts similar to yours so I have prepared a standard answer:

Get a lawyer.

Invest $20K and three years.

Sue the bad people for defamation.

If you win, expect them to keep doing it.

If you lose, expect them to keep doing it.


Stand by for other opinions.



BTW, the First Amendment has nothing to do with this situation.

Then what would/should one day when someone else is running their mouth with slander, lies against your company which are not true and you have proof of it?

What about trademark infringement with domains? I have a site trademarked, someone else is using the same name in their domain but different extension.

go take about $30,000 out of petty cash and light it on fire, throw it out the window or wipe your butt with it. Because that's what you'll do if you file such a frivilous lawsuit.

Not for nothing, and I know your both probalby being straightforward honest but why the obnoxiousness? I asked simple quesitons, made 2 posts only. Simple quesitons, simple responses hence "free advice". I'm not getting free advice so far, I'm getting short obnoxious answers.
