I recently conducted a web search for a particular product and found a site offering the product cheaper than any one else by a considerable amount. I placed an order online and received an email order confirmation quoting the details of the product, the price, quantity, weight, shipping, handling, order number, delivery address, etc.
After waiting a week for delivery I called the company for a status on the order and was told that they didn't process it because the price posted on their web store was in error. I'm not happy. Do I have any recourse? Is the seller obliged to sell to me? They still have made no attempt to correct their web site even though they know it is in error more than a week later.
I'm particularly unhappy about the abruptness of their attitude when I called and the fact that they had my daytime phone number and obviously my email address but after a week had not contacted me to correct the situation or communicate the error to me.
I am in Ohio and the seller is in Florida.
