What is the name of your state? Maine

I recently purchased a website that posts news stories and has a forum. A former frequent poster is demanding everything he contributed to the page prior to my acquisition be removed. Am I correct in thinking that since he posted these things on another parties website that he does not have a right to their removal? These posts do not contain and thing that could really be considered valuable... simply posts answering users questions and posts of news stories.

Thanks you.

My response:

He can demand, scream, yell, jump up and down, or throw a hissie fit - - but anything he wrote no longer "belongs to him". He left his words on the site, and that's where he abandoned them.

Just who do you think owns what I'm writing now?

Me?
