What is the name of your state? California

Is there a website of some sort where people can go and look up to see if they have any lawsuits pending or filed against them?

Otherwise, couldn't someone file a lawsuit against you and you not know?

Some states have them.

Call the Supreme Court of California's office and ask whoever answers the phone if there is something similar up there....

If you have checked and are still wondering, there is unfortuanately no such site for California. Counties all have court web sites, but only some sort information by name.

Here is the central site, with links to each county, but you're going to be disappointed, if you're looking for that information state-wide.
