2 years ago I had taken photgraphs as an assistant photographer with a "friend" I was in charge of all the Black and white photography for the wedding. The deal with the photographer was that I could make all the profit from my own pictures and he would supply me with some film. However I did purchase most of my own film and he gave me two rolls (we where friends I did not think anything about it)
After the wedding I had gotten my proofs developed and he apparently had given them to the bride and groom with my reorder form and price list. However after this I had ever seen my pictures again. I had continually phoned and asked him about my pictures and he would always say the couple was still deciding. After almost 2 years of constantly asking him about my pictures I finally began to get upset and I have been making demands that I just want all my photographs returned and that is it. However he will not give me any contact names to pick them up and keeps saying oh yeah they are coming just be patient (excuse me it has been over 2 years now) Finally I had called him and said I am now taking legal action to get them returned and the very next day he phoned and left a message on my answering machine saying he owns 2 rolls of the film and also that I had damaged his camera and he wants me to pay for the repairs. however I have not seen this camera since the wedding and he has made no reference to me damaging it ever.
Too make a long story short I just want my pictures back because I believe he had copied them and profitted from my work. I do have all the negatives in my poccession and I would really like this resolved.
Thanx for your help, I have log reports of conversations I have had with him, an answering machine message and all the info regarding the wedding if needed. (except contact names)
