new york-our wedding was on 10/30/99. our photographer moved to a new location working out of a house now claming to be out of business we have our proofs but that is all. he has given us nothing but a runaround how do i go about reporting and taking him to court? we don't have much money to spend but really want our pics.

You're in kind of a 'catch-22' situation. Most Small Claims courts can only hear money claims and cannot force specific performance.

However, if you have paid the photographer to provide the pictures, you can sue for breach of contract and recover of the funds you paid. The photographer will probably offer to provide the pictures when notified of the lawsuit, or will offer to resolve the judgment if/when rendered.

Contact the Small Claims court where the contract was entered into.
