is my husband entitled to get my ring back and vice-versa?
My response:
In Missouri, wedding rings are returnable to the other party ONLY if you're able to locate the original Cracker Jacks box.
Just playing with you. When it comes to wedding rings, the law in each State is that such items are "gifts" to the other person and are not returnable, unless there is a voluntary return. You can't be forced to return the rings to each other UNLESS there was provable fraud, "ab initio" (from the start).
So, if one or both of you are still paying the payments on the rings, each of you is stuck with your respective payments on that debt - - despite the fact that yours is a $3,000.00 ring, and his is only $300.00.
Good luck.
