I bought a puppy and within 2 days he became very ill. First he had a terrible case of the worms and diahrea. I did not pay the full amount the balance was due when she the breeder recieved the AKC papers for the litter. Can I deduct the unexpected vet bills from what I owe her?
I live in ILinois and the breeder lives in IOWA

My response:

What does your written contract say ?

And, don't tell me you didn't have a written contract.

I hate to say it but it says nothing in the written contract about health. SHe told me that hte jpuppy had been wormed which it hadn't and that it was in good health which it wasn't.
