What is the name of your state? Va

June 1999, was living in Florida at the time, found out my ex-wife had committed identity theft and forgery against me. Open credit cards accounts, loans, etc. Filed police reports in areas where the
crimes took place, South Carolina.

Have since moved to Virginia Dec 1999 and still pursued getting her brought to justice. Ex was arrested in 10/01 and 06/02 for the crimes and the prosecutors finally decided to file charges together earlier this year. Ex pleaded to all charges and got probation despite my objections. Now that she has been found guilty of the crimes by court, what are my options in filing a civil suit against her in South Carolina, she resides in North Carolina.

Any information would be helpful, thanks!

pain, suffering, additional expenses related to her actions that were not covered by restitution. I have had credit card and other
accounts reduced, large purchases with credit card either placed
under scrutiny, questioned or flat out rejected. damage to my credit standing, financial reputation, etc, etc.

With that, I would suggest you get say.... about $10,000 to pay your legal fees that you will incur.
Let me know when you get your money together..... I am sure that I can recommend a good local attorney for you.
