What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida
A co-worker of mine is going through a divorce. When he left his soon to be ex, he was talking to me a lot about what was going on. She decided to file a complaint against me saying that I was having an affair with him. She wrote my family members a letter with the accusation of the affair, along with phone calls to my house about the same. She followed me around toen on several occasions and has accessed my personal e-mail account. She moved to another state and is currently living with her boyfriend. A few weeks ago I got back the results of the formal investigation in which she had made up a lot of accusations. The investigation revealed that everything was unfounded. My friend, her soon to be ex, had her divorce papers served to her during this time. Because of the fact that I did not lose my job she has come back to town and is now threatening to sue me for her husband leaving her. She claims it is my fault. Can she do this? Legally? And if she does file a law suit what can I do to fight her?

Anyone can sue anyone else for just about anything. And if she does then you hire an attorney and defend yourself against the charges.

Now, what's the REST of the story?

She may committing a tort against you called 'intrusion' or invasion of privacy. She has no case based on your comments.

You could ignore her (no lawyer will take her case anyway)
If sued, counter-claim for invasion of your privacy and abuse of process (frivolous lawsuit)
Or just dismiss it -- By some courts, you may get your attorney's fees paid for when her case is dismissed, because her case is not founded on legal principles.
