Oregon has very liberal laws for kids. They can do pretty much what they want...I have seen from experience and spoke with several law enforcement agencies that agree. My son is a violent, angry, out of control delinquent. He being a chronic runaway and being so violent that I fear for my safety caused me to involve the state for help. After many years of delinquent, violent behavior the state allowed me to sign over voluntary placement. I refuse to live in fear for my life because of a child, my child least of all. He has stated he doesn't want to come home and until he gets himself under serious control, he's not welcome back. I would like to know what my legal rights are. I would like to leave the state to take care of my sick grandmother. I am paying child support and working with the state whenever they need me. Can I legally move out of state?

Yes you can move out of state though there may be consequences such as you might never be able to get custody. You would also have to inform the state (CSEA) of your new location.
