What is the name of your state? I live in California
Problem: I am Selling my fathers house, he past away. His neighbor of 17 yrs. now that I am in escrow wants me to put up a retaining wall, She is on top of the verticle bank. Never said any thing about a wall till I put house on market. City Building Officials said I am in code and do not need to put one up. They also gave her a building permit to build a addition on to her home, which she is in the middle of. My problem is her timing and she has 100 year old tree's that roots go under my home and if I did want to put a wall up I could damage the root system of her tree's, causing them to die!! Help where do I stand?? Thank you
