What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)California? Below is an investment I made . They(other parties) have payed me 1x but that check was returned for NSF...I have contacted them, they have contacted me with "promises to pay" hasn't happened. Mbank accnt in overdrawn by over $2,100.00. According to the bank there was a hold on the check which I wasn't informed about. I talked to the bank they can't do anything for me at this point. It's been since August 5th, 2008. What can I do???

I, ___take personal responsibility for the well being of the 28k being invested by ___, and guarantee the principal against loss. These funds are being invested into said Oil Contract as discussed. You'll have to sue them, but even if you win I bet you will not get anything. The reason I say even if you win is because I bet the facts and what your investment are will get fuzzy very fast. For example, even the e-mail you've posted says there will be a further communication with the actual deal.

If there is no risk, you shouldn't earn money on the investment. Use that as a general rule regarding business deals which are too good to be true.
