What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? INDIANA

Good Day!

I offer winter storage for boats.

I have been storing some boats where the owners have failed to pay their bills (in some instances for more than 20 years). The bills due for storage now exceed the value of some of these boats.

Could someone please break down into steps what I need to do to take title of these abandoned boats so I may sell them in an attempt to recoup my storage fees.

Also, please make mention of any potential pitfalls/mistakes I need to be aware of when doing this.

Many Thanks!!!

If your storage documents don't reference the problem, you sue the owner for fees and, after winning a judgment, seize the boat.
