Prenups require full and fair financial disclosure. Ive seen a lot of posts on this and it seems to always be in question even for those prenups deemed ironclad.

What is required to fulfill this to avoid being challenge? What does a judge want to see to uphold the prenup?

I would suggest that if you want an ironclad prenup, that you consult with an attorney to discuss your needs so that they can draft one that meets them.

Im just asking for the basics... are tax returns acceptable, or how about a balance sheet... surely there is a "checklist" attorneys generally follow

There very well may be. However, most of the members here are non-attorney volunteers, and may not have the answers you need.

people pls relax Im asking a basic generic question. Ive done homework on this but cannot locate anything definitive as to what a judge looks for in a prenup. Its not for me Im doing back research to help a close friend. Everything Ive researched to date she has questioned atty and is correct.

I just want to know is there a basic checklist attys go by for financials in a prenup so as to be considered full discl.

Have your friend ask his/her attorney.

How about you relaxing and after loosening up look up the definitions of such English words as "meddlesome", "intrusive" and officious" and see which fits you best.

You also might consider whether all of this "homework" and "research" done for your friend's supposed benefit - of which you seem so excessively proud - does not constitute the unlawful practice of law!

Also, it seems remarkable to me that her attorney is allowing you to kibitz or in anyway interfere with or even communicate with you concerning this most confidential legal undertaking. I sure as hell would not put up with it. Nor should any attorney permit you to participate.
