What is the name of your state?Guam I wanted to know what charges can I get for recieving a check that was altered/forged. I told the investigators the situation, but i'm still being questioned about this check. it was mailed to me for depositing, as soon as the check is cleared i was to mail the funds to this import export business. turns out the bank released the funds without triple checking if it was a good check. I gave them all information, but yet they said i can still be arrested. even after the fact that i had no idea or i had no part in anyway what so ever**************...i didn't know it was a forged check

You got taken with a very old scam, and apparently cannot read, you are asked the name of your STATE as in the 50 that comprise the US. We do not know laws for other territories or countries.

**A: it's ok. Guam is with the US. Did you not know that?

Yes, but it is not one of the 50 states, and as such I didn't think it applied since the forum asks for your state. That is why I made my statement included territories, and countries.


Would their laws be the same as ours, under our federal jurisdiction? Please clear that question up for me, as that is something I have never been certain about.
