What Can I Do About Old Landlord?

On July 31 2001 my old apartment was red tagged due to faulty electrical wiring. I was forced to move out that day, and that night the landlord changed the locks on us to keep us from entering the apartment for my animals or personal property. The landlords had bivin us an eviction notice claiming I owed rent, but I was caught up and owed nothing. (they evicted me due to me calling the code officer on them for refusing to fix anything in the apartment in the 2 yrs we lived there.) I was going to sue them for an injury and everything that I lost due to this, but my old lawyer wouldnt go through it due to the landlords putting what they owned into their other families name. When I tried to sue by myself the lawyer "LOST" some of my papers (RENT RECIEPTS, BILLS, PICTURES). What can I do about this? They owe me so much money, and I was told if the house is deamed unlivable, I am entitled to all or half of my rent back. Plus they never gave me my security deposit back or a letter stating why they wouldn't give it back. Is there anything I can do?

I am sorry about the caps, didnt realize the caps key is on. I did mention my state, Pa-Pennsylvania. and I tried to stick to the point but need to try to explain what all was involved. I want to get my money back from my landlords, but dont know if I still can. Thats what I am trying to find out, if you can help at all, I would appreciate it.

You could always take the landlord to small claims court, and state what you have stated here.

Wow!! What a wonderfully insightful post. All you need to do now is get some legal experience and knowledge and you might just be able to post something of relevance. If you did that, you would realize that small claims court has NO involvement on this issue.
