i live in wisconsin. when i was going out with my ex boyfriend of four years, he paid some of my bills for me. rent, tuition, and a loan. he did this after i told him that i did not want him to. now after we have broken up, he is threatening to bring me to court for the money that he had lent to me. even though there was no agreement or contract whatsoever. he was the cosigner on the loan. can he legally bring me to court and sue me for the money that in my mind was a gift? does he have the right to reposess the computer that was bought with the loan money? what can i do about this whole mess?

"Money he had lent to me". You know it was not a gift. If it were, your name would not be on the loan. Maybe you will be able to wiggle out of some of what you owe by claiming "gift", but not all.
You can try to sit down with him and work out some equitable arrangement or wait until he takes you to court and the judge decides.
