What is the name of your state? South Carolina

This is a different question from my other thread. Found 2 medical bill collections on my husbands credit. I called up the first insurance company (Planned Administrators) who refused the 61.00 payment stating that we had other insurance ( which we did not) and told me that even though it was their mistake, because it is over 2 years old, they will not pay it and I am out of luck. Called up the second company ( blue cross/blue shield) who also stated several things that ranged from a newborn exam is part of the deductable to a newborn is not covered by insurance and in the end, also stated that because we did not uncover the error within 2 years that we are out of luck and they will not pay it. Can they do that? That is SSOOOO unfair!!!!! We pay them so much money every month and they do EVERYTHINF possible not to pay claims!!!!!!! What can we do?

Can they do that?
Of course they can. It is up to YOU to make sure that your insurance company is performing in a timely manner.

That is SSOOOO unfair!!!!!
First, 'fair' has nothing to do with it.
Second... what is really 'unfair' is for someone to delay for more than TWO years.... then contact the insurance company and demand payment.

What can we do?
Simple answer: Pay the bill... and keep track of your debts in the future. :D
